In 2021, the Surfside Building Collapse became one of the most devastating tragedies in U.S. history, claiming nearly 100 lives and leaving an entire community in shock. In response to the disaster, Florida Task Force 2 (FL-TF2) was deployed as a Type 1 Urban Search and Rescue team to assist with search and recovery operations.
